Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Chris Richie was born to a musical family, and grew up singing gospel music in church with his mom. He became more interested in theatre and eventually his passion led him to Oklahoma City University, where he earned his BM in Music Theatre.
Chris is has appeared in various productions and concerts both at OCU and at professional theaters. In 2019, he made his regional debut playing Joseph LaRoche in Titanic at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. Other credits include Carousel, The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, In the Heights, Closer than Ever, Masterclass, and Kinky Boots.
In February of 2023, Chris was honored with the title of 1st Place Winner of the American Pops Orchestra NextGen National: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow Competition and performed on the Lincoln Center stage in New York City. He strives to share his love for the arts with his bright smile and energetic approach. He is currently represented by the DGRW agency.
When Chris isn’t on stage, he enjoys cooking some good southern food, baking cheesecakes, and watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. He is also an avid watcher of The Golden Girls, Big Brother, and Survivor.
